You can turn a loved one's shirt into a special upcycled shirt for a child. It's so easy, let me show you how.

Able to sew a straight stitch with a sewing machine.




None, this tutorial uses measurements you take. A handy average measurement chart is included in the tutorial.

Sew Time: 

1-2 hours

Tools & Materials:

Adobe Reader + Printer + Paper + Tape 

Recommended Fabric: Adult size shirt (minimum size medium)

3/8" Elastic

Sewing Machine + Needles + Thread

Pins or Clips


Scissors or Rotary Wheel with Cutting Mat


Optional Tools & Materials:

Serger (overlock)
